What is the controversy around his brother?

A video of Bageshwar Baba’s brother allegedly assaulting a Dalit family and allegedly brandishing a handgun went viral on social media, prompting his arrest. He is being held at Chhatarpur court, where a hearing is now taking place. A large amount of force has been deployed. He was allegedly accused of storming into a marriage, threatening and harassing a Dalit family. The event occurred on February 11, when the brother of Bageshwar Dham Sarkar allegedly arrived to a mass wedding location and insulted people. He was also allegedly suspected of having a pistol in his possession.

The incident’s footage quickly went popular on social media. Garg was allegedly seen in the video assaulting an unnamed man and threatening to shoot him with a weapon. He can also be allegedly heard screaming verbal abuse at the man while smoking a cigarette.

Case against Baba’s Brother

The Bamitha Police Department filed a FIR under sections 294, 323, 506, 427 of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) as well as the SC/ST Act.

On February 22, a fresh video allegedly showing Saligram Garg shooting in the air emerged from the Madhya Pradesh area of Chhatarpur. Saligram Garg is allegedly seen in the video standing in the centre of a bunch of young people and firing in the air.

Baba on the charges raised against his brother responded that, “a thorough investigation should be conducted in the case. “Whatever one does, he/she has to pay for it…we are with the truth, the law will take its own course…” In the instance of his brother Shaligram Garg, he has declared unequivocally that the law should take its own course.
